GONE
[The following story takes place in a generic apartment in a generic neighborhood in a mediocre city. It describes the life of Grey; a writer who doesn’t write, whose days can be portrayed as uneventful and unchanging. Major events in Grey’s life seem dull and ordinary, the disruptions contained, as though the tenor of her daily existence needs to be protected from unbalancing forces.
She writes. The story of her life. Nothing aspires.]
This publication is the second volume in a publication series exploring questions of belonging through chronicles of [non]performativity.
GONE was produced in response to the invitation of Antoinette Jattiot for Museum Night Fever 2024 in the context of Write as the Beasts Cry at Night, an exhibition by Thu-Van Tran at La Loge, Brussels.
