AS HIS BODY MOULDS,
BY THE SCARS OF ITS EROSION
CLAY AND LATEX
“The display of an artist’s mission - striving for something they cannot put their finger on. Attempts are made to make the impossible, possible. Essentially the craft is an ongoing search for the meaning of life - an existential wandering through use of the hands and making - whilst bringing the mind back to its physical body.
The physicality of the materials used in the work illustrate the importance of this. the viewer is plunged into a familiar, yet distorted realm - a fictional reality from the creator’s world vier. How they imagine life should be or how they themselves visualize it. The balance is evident between the reality of the objects and the imagining of their narratives. The uncertainty of our purpose delves artists into a life of longing to create our own realities illustrating the fictional aspect of life itself”
